Makings of a Good Life: Commitment

We know Ruth’s response.  We know it because countless times we have heard it at weddings.
"Do not force me to abandon you, or to turn back from following you! Wherever you go, I will go. Wherever you live, I will live. Your people will be my people and your God my God. Where you die, I will die and be buried. May YHWH do anything at all to me, and even more as well, if even death parts me from you!”
It is the ultimate testimony to hesed, steadfast unbreakable love. It is a vow to her Mother in Law!
What else have we missed from this story?
