There are just some passages that you know you should just fear to tread.
I read it this week in a commentary on our text. Amy Oden warned us, “Many of you will conclude this text is too much a minefield and steer clear, with good reason.”
I heard it very clearly from one of my female colleagues who warned me this summer, “If you preach on Proverbs 31, be very careful.”
This morning we venture into the minefield!
