Have you heard the joke about Canadians being nice? Well, it isn’t a joke! They really are very nice people, putting the mannerly southerners to shame.
Many times that is what we associate with being Christian. We are nice. We behave. We follow the rules.
So what do we do with this Jesus who creates such a ruckus in the temple? Could it be that Jesus is telling us that we need our society to repent, to go in a different direction? That maybe the way things have always been need to change direction?
