In John’s gospel we don’t have a “Last Supper.”
Instead we have a long discourse, a final teaching from Jesus. Here is where we have some of those verses we turn to in tough times, “Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” Great verses!
But them, Jesus starts to pray, not only pray, but to pray for his disciples. And us! What does it feel like to have Jesus pray for you?
This is my next to last sermon as the pastor of Port Williams United Baptist Church. In 10 days we will be moving back to the US. So I thought, what is my prayer for these friends who have been such a meaningful part of our lives. What is the prayer I want to offer for them.
And maybe you.
Even if you don’t watch the sermon, listen to the incredible special music!
