The Hope of Lent

Back during our first Covid lockdown, when everything was new and exciting, when we thought this was just a few weeks thing, when we were recording and posting our services on YouTube, someone came by the office and commented how much they were enjoying the online services.

“What I like is that I can just fast forward through the parts I don’t like!”

Do you ever do that? Even when you are in person in worship? You just fade out, thinking about all the things you need to do, the things going on in your life?

Me too! But this week, this week our text from Isaiah 55 just wouldn’t let me do that. I encourage you to read it, hear it, allow it to wash over you.

It might just be the hope you need in the middle of Lent.
